There was a debate this morning on Reshet Bet with many interesting points made regarding cell towers here in Israel. We hope to post a sikum of the program soon- in the meantime, here is an interesting article.
Thanks to Rafi of Life in Israel blog for this link from CNN on a study in the UK on the connection between the decline of the bee population and cell antennas :

The most interesting part of this is a comment by a reader:
Obviously not one person who has commented here has ever worked around RF or EMI .I have worked around it for years and Ive been on cell towers or other communication towers using the upper RF spectrum in the gigahertz range and Ive watched as bees try and attack the tower or dishes and Ive watched other strange things like bees for no reason attacking each other in mid air then grapple each other and then fall to the ground and die.Ive never seen behavior like this under normal circumstances outside of working around microwave communications.Ive also seen clouds of bees swarming these towers.Other cell workers have noticed the same and have made the link of possible harm to bees long ago. There is so much we still do not know about the complex workings of nature and we constantly play God mainly for the benefit of our own species. For those who say "Big Deal its just some lousy bees" I say this.Do you like to eat ? No bees,no pollination, its that simple. Many other insects and animals help pollination but bees are very special. This IS an urgent issue ,more so than people even know.
Whatever the reasons are- the point is that there is much going on that we dont understand, cant account for, and is not worth messing with.
